DISC JOCKEY

I’m a DJ, it started out as a hobby but passion and hard work turned it into a pretty decent career.  I have all of my play lists and mixes saved onto the hard drive of my computer where I can easily transfer them onto CD’s for different events and occasions.  I do have back up disks that I save information to, but I don’t use them nearly as much as I probably should.  Since the files on my computer are pretty much my livelihood, I need to keep them safe; I have an emergency recovery program that can restore files after they have been deleted.  I’ve never actually lost one of my music files for work, but I have accidentally deleted files in the past as well as lost some pretty important information to computer viruses.  The files that I had lost in the past weren’t anything that was all that important, but the fact that I know that files can be lost scares me.  If I lose a file now it could conceivably ruin a job and one bad job in this field can ruin your reputation – that could leave me in the unemployment line and I’m certainly not going to let that happen.
