EXTENDED FAMILY

Last night my grandmother had a bunch of people in our extended family over for dinner. There were more than twenty people there. A lot of them were aunts, uncles and cousins, but some were also girlfriends and significant others. My cousin Bobby even brought his girlfriend, who was a total change from the usual girls he dates. His new girlfriend, Carmen, was a Cincinnati bankruptcy lawyer, but she just moved to Chicago to practice. I think the last girl he dated, Jamma, was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Usually they are pretty much bimbos and arm candy, but Carmen seems very intelligent, and much nicer than the other women. Bobby is an oral surgeon, who invented some laser gum surgery that has netted him all sorts of money. He collects vintage muscle cars, and is really one of the cooler guys I have ever met. He was never been married, and so it was nice for the whole family to see him with somebody who was actually closer to his age and who seemed to have a more substantial relationship with him than all the other women. The dinner was great, and it was nice to catch up with the family for once.
